Whats New In Optometry? three highlights From The ODMA 2013 Conference

July 29, 2013

It’s no secret that Optometry is a fast changing industry

So to stay at the top of our game, we recently attended the 3-day ‘ODMA‘ tradeshow held in Brisbane, Australia.

Here are 3 highlights from the event:

1.The new SynergEyes Hybrid contact lens

Has your optometrist told you that you have unusual or complicated corneas?

Or have you been unsuccessful with switching from glasses to contact lenses?

This is a special new contact lens which provides better vision and comfort for eyes just like yours!

2. The new Carl Zeiss Retinal Photography scanner(CIRRUSHD-OCT5000)

This piece of equipment is the Rolls Royce of Retinal Scanners, and the great news is that we now have one at Langford Callard!

Of particular note are the new Zeiss Progressive lenses, and in terms of fashion, colour and size is back.

Minimalism is dead, with huge, bright, statement-making frames dominating eyewear trends.

If you’d like to know more about any of the products above, get in touch with us at Langford Callard, 40 Elizabeth Street Tauranga (or call 578 6413).
